Rhythm of Life

Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy." ~Jaques D'ambroise

Dance....Good Energy

Dance is a great way to let children use their, energy, relieve stress, and reduce the possibility of childhood obesity. It will also provide culture to a child’s life, and help to build confidence, courage, and self-esteem. MPower...a projection of the arts continues to give a platform that will expose children to diverse genres of dance, freely projecting their artistic creation while learning to dance, having fun by using energy positively.

Dance Theater A Beautiful Visual Art

Okay Fellow Dancers, Students, & Choreographers,

I took a stroll down memory lane today thinking of where I am in my dance career and how I feel about it. When growing up as a little girl all I ever wanted to do was dance. And the love I had for dance then is the same love I have for dance now; thirty-eight years later. I am now a proud owner of a dance school & company and have seen the many changes in the Performing Arts Industry. One thing in particular is that there is more focus place now on dance teams and solo competitions rather than Dance Theater. Dance is so much more than coming in first place and winning a "Trophy" “Dance is liberation of art; therefore it is dancing on the highest cloud of coronet.”  When learning to dance it was so important to me to know what part of the techniques was coming next and how could I improve myself with the hope of one day dancing professionally.  To me that meant that I would be a part of a dynamic of characteristics that expresses visual art form through feeling and emotions that help connect the audience to a story that ends with each dancer stepping onto the cloud coronet with a humble bend of acceptance.

I believe that dance in theater is an element of the Performing Arts that should be highly regarded.  What do you think?  As a Dancer is dancing in theater less fulfilling than competing?
